Key Components of the Dermal Filler Course
Theory and Science
You will learn about the different types of dermal fillers, their Hyaluronic Acid (HA) composition, flow properties (rheology), and appropriate uses. This comprehensive training will equip you with the essential skills and in-depth knowledge to safely and effectively administer dermal filler treatments.
Anatomy and Physiology
You will gain a detailed understanding of the facial anatomy, including its vascular and muscular systems, to ensure you become a safe and effective practitioner.
Safety and Complications
Dermal fillers are generally safe, but complications can range from common issues like bruising and swelling to rare cases such as infection or tissue necrosis. Learn how to avoid these side effects and, should they occur, correct them effectively.
Practical Training
Each therapist/practitioner will gain hands-on experience treating the mid- and lower-face. You will learn how to prepare your patient, mark out and photograph, and select the correct dermal filler for the right area to achieve the desired outcome. You will also be taught varying injection techniques to optimise results.
Combination Therapies
Learn how dermal filler treatment can be combined with other minimally invasive treatments such as Botox (Botulinum Toxin) or microneedling to enhance results.
Consultation & Treatment Planning
Develop proficiency in conducting full consultations, examining the face or treatment area, discussing patient concerns, and collaboratively deciding on the best treatment approach.
